html stuff on your "site"
i see you use the ALT tag for image-less browsers, but you don't include an
informational "popup text"-type-thing for those who do have images
enabled....
or maybe you think you do...?
IE uses that ALT tag in 2 ways....it (apparently - i never tried it) shows
the text instead of the image when images are disabled... also, when the
image IS available there's a nice little "popup" of text describing the
image the user's mouse is currently hovering over (even when it's not a
link).... it tries to basically do away with a world wide standard of html
markup.... that being the 'nice little "popup" of text describing the image
the user's mouse is currently hovering over'.
You see the two things are not the same. One is for browsers that can't /
won't display images. The other is for informative purposes only.
You have chosen the first option to cater for the second option.
Just because "it looks right in IE" doesn't make it right. And your site, in
particular, pointing out the idiot in all of us web users, basically walks
into its own fart on this alone.
There's just one thing you didn't do - there's an html tag you didn't use
(probably because you don't know it exists)
Implement it and your site will be compliant.
I'm not the html police, but i was amused somewhat with your
holier-than-though approach to web users when you can't even put together a
compliant *one page* "site"
oh, btw.... that missing html tag? have you justfuckinggoogledit? (do you
have that domain too?) it's not a secret. it's called <TITLE> it'll even
make your text links "leap" from the page
